Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build the Intelligence Fabric. You'll work on challenging problems at the intersection of data engineering, AI/ML, and user experience—creating systems that understand how people work and help them work better. This is a founding engineering role with significant scope to shape our technical direction. You'll work closely with our CTO and a small, senior team to build products that enterprise customers love.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement core platform features using TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js
  • Build and optimize data pipelines that process millions of events from Microsoft Graph API
  • Develop AI-powered features that personalize learning journeys based on usage patterns
  • Architect scalable systems on Azure (Container Apps, PostgreSQL, Redis, AI Services)
  • Collaborate with product and design to create exceptional user experiences
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production systems

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js)
  • Experience with Node.js backend development and RESTful API design
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API or Microsoft 365 development
  • Background in AI/ML or experience integrating LLM APIs
  • Knowledge of behavioural science or learning design principles
  • Experience in early-stage startups or building products from 0 to 1
  • Contributions to open source projects

What We Offer

Competitive salary + meaningful equity
Remote-first with optional London office access
Unlimited PTO (genuinely encouraged)
£2,500 annual learning budget
Latest MacBook Pro + peripherals
Private health insurance (Vitality)
Quarterly team retreats
Flexible working hours
